Toffee Trent Nestor

Toffee Trent, age 10.5, died of a sudden illness on October 2, 2023. He was born on April 27, 2013 in West Virginia, the son of Louise and brother of Pipsqueak Divine, who survives. A handsome fellow with big yellow eyes, Toffee could generally be found on his favorite corner of the couch. He was a friend to all of his siblings, a compliment which certainly couldn’t be paid to any of them, and enjoyed bonding with them via grooming. Toffee preferred Fancy Feast Primavera cat food, and he liked it at any time of day. Still, he was always willing to allow someone else to steal his share without a fight. Toffee was quiet, gazing at guests from behind furniture and inside distant doorways rather than engaging with them directly. Despite his lack of aggression, Toffee was a superb athlete. He was a champion ice tennis player, a game in which would come running to knock ice from the ice machine, clear across the room with his paw. He enjoyed playing “red dot” (pointer laser) and played it with gusto just two days before his death. Toffee also enjoyed caressing people with his face while they did sit ups. He did not live long enough to suit us, but he was a special, sweet boy we will always remember.
