On Friday December 3rd, 2021, my fluffy "little" girl crossed over the rainbow bridge to be with her brothers and sisters again. We rescued Annie and her new litter in March of 2006. As happened with many of our rescues, her kittens were adopted quickly but she remained with us. She was my room mate along with 3 other rescues when working late nights and Nichole was going to school. She would become the queen of the house and enforcer of all things in her domain. She would grace her fur brothers and sisters with mighty thumps from her mighty paws if they got out of line or needed to be reminded of their place in the pecking order. For her humans, she would gently nudge them with the caress of those wonderfully strong paws, while resting behind them in bed, to alert them of her desire to be worshipped. She would be worshipped by her humans and feared by her fur brothers and sisters for another 15 years. She loved baths. Got them every month or so in the summer, she took forever to dry. She had a special shampoo with sparklies in it that she insisted on. She loved to be pretty. The last year her strength was tested by arthritis and health tested by ailments. She remained the Queen until the end, finally leaving this world on her terms.
Baby girl you will be missed and loved always
